How to deploy and configure vRealize Operations Manager 6.0? Part 1

In this post I will show how to deploy and configure vRealize Operations Manager 6.0.

  1. Log in through vSphere Client or Web Client to the vCenter and Deploy OVF Template.vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 1
  2. Select OVA file. Click Next.vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 2
  3. Review details and click Next. vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 3
  4. Accept EULA and Click Next. vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 4
  5. Specify a name and location for the deployed appliance.  Click Next.vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 5
  6. Select a deployment configuration. Click Next.vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 6
  7. Select datastore and virtual disk format. Click Next. vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 7
  8. Configure the networks the deployed appliance should use. Click Next.vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 8
  9. Type IP Settings and click Finish.vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 9
  10. Power ON the appliance. You should see below screen after some minutes. vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 16
  11. Open link: https://IP_address/. Click New Installation. vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 10
  12. Click Next.vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 11
  13. Set up a new admin password. vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 12
  14. Select or accept default certificates. Click Next.vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 13
  15. Enter Cluster Master Node Name and NTP Server Address.vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 14
  16. Click Finish to start setup process.vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 15
  17. Log in again to https://IP_address/ and click "Start vRealize Operations Manager". vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 17
  18. After few minutes, you should be redirected to the following site:vRealize Operations Manager 6 - Deploy and configure 18

 

Now, you can import data from existing vCenter Operations Manager 5.8.1 or configure system to collect data from your environment.
